These are links to the Lostpedia entries for the characters. I tried to divide them up in groups depending on their origins or their situation when we first met them, (since a few change groups over the years). This is list is far from being complete, go here for a detailed list of all characters on the show.

oceanic 815

They crashed on the island on September 22nd, 2004 and they were split up into two groups: the "original" losties, from the middle section of the plane, and the tail section passengers, until they merged in season 2.

on island

These people were already on the island by the time flight Oceanic 815 crashed. Some were living there voluntarily, others wanted to leave... the majority were part of the group known as The Others by our castaways.

Freighter

They arrived at the end of season 3/beginning of season 4, on the Kahana, a freighter sent by Charles Widmore. The problem was that it wasn't clear whether their intentions were good or not.

Dharma Initiative

We started hearing about the Dharma Initiative long before we met many of its members. Time travel allowed a few of our characters to get to know them and become part of the organisation.

Others

Mostly flashback characters, members of the losties' families and such.
